IMA Kanpur organized family get-together on the occasion of the New Year 2026.
18 Jan 2025, Kanpur : IMA Kanpur Branch organized a grand Picnic, Lohri Celebration, and Family Get-Together on the occasion of the New Year 2026. The event was held with great enthusiasm on Sunday, 18 January 2026, at Royal King Club & Resort, Kalyanpur.
The chief guest of the program was Mrs. Neelima Katiyar, MLA, Kalyanpur, and the distinguished guests were Dr. Hari Datt Nemi, Chief Medical Officer, Kanpur Nagar, and Dr. Ramit Rastogi, Additional CMO, Kanpur Nagar.
The program featured the traditional Lohri bonfire, live music, DJ, dance performances, entertaining games, musical chairs, tug of war, special games for children, skating, and various fun activities. IMA members and their families participated enthusiastically in all the activities. Special arrangements for refreshments were made during the picnic, which were thoroughly enjoyed by all present. The entire event reflected a warm family atmosphere, mutual bonding, and the joyful spirit of welcoming the New Year.
The program was presided over by Dr. Anurag Mehrotra, President, IMA Kanpur Branch. The event was jointly conducted by Cultural Secretary Dr. Renu Singh Gehlot and Joint Cultural Secretary Dr. Smita Singh. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Shalini Mohan, Secretary, IMA Kanpur.
On this occasion, the gracious presence of Chairperson (Cultural Sub-Committee) Dr. Kiran Pandey, Dr. Neelam Mishra, Vice President Dr. Debjyoti Debroy, Finance Secretary Dr. Vishal Singh, and other office bearers added dignity to the event.
The successful organization of the program was made possible by the special contributions of coordinators Dr. Kunal Sahay and Dr. Sapna Mehrotra. IMA office bearers stated that such events not only provide doctors relief from their busy schedules but also strengthen family and social bonding.
