Medical Exhibition ‘Prabodhanam’ Successfully Concludes at GSVM Medical College

12 Dec 2025, Kanpur : A grand medical exhibition, ‘Prabodhanam’, was successfully organized today at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur by the Para Q2 Batch. MBBS students presented live models, charts, and demonstrations from various departments, explaining complex medical processes in simple and accessible language. The exhibition featured stalls from 25 departments, which remained the major highlight of the event. The program was held in the gracious presence of the college principal, Dr. Sanjay Kala, along with organizing committee members Dr. G. D. Yadav, Dr. S. K. Burman, and Dr. Pramod Kumar.

Students from various schools were invited to the exhibition, where they were briefed on medical procedures, modern technologies, and common misconceptions related to healthcare. Through models and demonstrations related to the heart, brain, surgeries, microbiology, community health, and other fields of medicine, the MBBS students shared detailed knowledge with the visitors.

To enhance awareness, students also presented street plays (nukkad natak) and short theatrical performances based on different departments, delivering impactful messages on health education, disease prevention, and social issues.

The exhibition was evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges, including Dr. Sanjay Rastogi, Dr. Suresh Chandra, Dr. Rajendra Nath, Dr. R. K. Singh, and Dr. Chayanika Kala. The judges highly appreciated the enthusiasm, research work, presentation skills, and innovation displayed by all participating departments. A special initiative named ‘Utsarg’, under which MBBS students teach underprivileged children, was also showcased through a dedicated stall set up by these children, receiving praise from all visitors.

A blood donation camp was also organized alongside the exhibition, in which students, staff members, and visitors participated with great enthusiasm. This initiative added a dimension of social responsibility and humanitarian values to the event.

‘Prabodhanam’ not only simplified medical education for the public but also encouraged scientific thinking and social awareness among students. The dedicated efforts of student coordinators Mohammad Ashraf, Sanjay Kumar, Alisha Anjum, Varsha Singh, and Sakshi Verma played a significant role in the successful organization of the event.
